WHY A BADASS? He is a cool dude in the block and his salt and pepper hair almost flavors his looks well. But it’s not his journey as a chef to a TV presenter that makes him badass, it’s his documented chronicles or more popularly known as “Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly”, released in 2000, that made him a star.
 The Badass Factor: It often happens that when you try to write a book, you get a lot more interested in framing the book than just stating facts. Bourdain on the other hand kept it swear-swaddled and honestly so. His candid opinions on food without a sliver of fear make him a badass chef. Yes, he actually spoke of bully and flying knives.

CULINARY TRAINING Bourdain graduated from the Dwight-Englewood School in 1973, and went on to attend Vassar College (dropping out after two years), but at the same time working in Provincetown, Massachusetts seafood restaurants, which he states sparked his decision to pursue cooking as a career. Bourdain went on to graduate from the Culinary Institute of America, in 1978. Bourdaine went on to work his way up throught the culinary rankings to become executive chef at Brasserie Les Halles, Based in Manhattan in 1998. At the time Bourdain’s tenure, Les Halles had additional locations and maintained an executive chef position for many years.  Though Bourdain is no longer formally employed at Brasserie Les Halles, he maintains a relationship with Les Halles in New York, where he was described recently as Januray 2014 as their “chef-at-large”.

The show has been such a big success that he has been nominated for ten emmys and has won two. As his career goes on their has been no slowing down for anthony. At the age of fifty-eight Anthony has started taking Tai-Kwon-Do classes and competing in fights. He has proven if you love what you do you will never work a day in your life.
